چکیده

Thin films of silver selenide have been prepared by chemical bath deposition technique at substrate temperature of 300K. The films were characterized by X-ray diffraction and UV-VIS spectrophotometer. Silver selenide thin films are polycrystalline with orthorhombic structure, confirmed by x-ray diffractogram. The deposition parameters were optimized to obtain good quality thin films. The film deposited with 10.0ml TEA showed good uniformity, good surface coverage with bigger grains and produced higher absorbance value. The band gap energy varies with the variation of TEA concentration which ranged from 2.00eV 2.15 eV. Deposition at concentration of 10.0ml TEA proved to offer a reasonably good Ag2Se thin film. The quality of thin film is influenced by the presence of complexing agents.

Effect of deposition temperature on the structural and optical properties of chemically prepared nanocrystalline lead selenide thin films

Nanocrystalline lead selenide (PbSe) thin films were prepared on glass substrates by a chemical bath deposition method, using sodium selenosulfate (Na(2)SeSO(3)) as a source of Se(2-) ions, and lead acetate as a source of Pb(2+) ions. Trisodium citrate (TSC) was used as a complexing agent. PbSe films were prepared at various deposition temperatures while the pH value was kept fixed at 11, and t...

Properties of CdS Chemically Deposited thin films on the Effect of Ammonia Concentration

The effect of ammonia concentration on electrical properties, optical properties and structural properties of chemical bath deposited (CBD) Cadmium sulphide (CdS) thin films has been revealed. The films were prepared by using cadmium acetate as cadmium ion (Cd) source, thiourea as sulphur ion (S) source and ammonia as the complexing agent. Ammonia concentration was changed from 0.1 M – 3.0 M. A...

Controllable Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Citrate as Complexing Agent: Characterization of Nanopartciles and Effect of pH on Size and Crystallinity

A method for the controllable synthesis of silver nanoparticles based on a complexing agent method was developed. Citric acid was used as a complexing agent. The effect of pH (1.6 to 5.17) on the size and net height (as obtained from XRD analyses) of silver nanoparticles was investigated. The nanoparticles (10 to 40 nm) were characterized using XRD, TEM, SEM, EDX, UV-Vis spectrosco...
